Log Jamz: Sub- Contractors

Well it has made it back to thusday again, which means time for more log jamz. Today's topic will be sub-contractors. When choosing a sub-contractor for your project there are a few things to look into to aid in making a proper choice.
  One of the first items would be reputation, does the sub work for alot of different builders or does the sub have a consistent group that they have worked for a long period? How long has the sub been in business? Have they done specialized work on either log or timber frame homes?
  Above are just a few things to think about, over time i will provide much more information and some answers that are inline with what the industry as a whole feels are the best for those wanting a log or timber frame home!

The transition

Good morning,

    Today activity continues a transition will be taking place both literally and figuratively. With that said it is all about getting it done! So it is off to make some dust, finalize a project and be diligent with everything that heads this way.

The edge

   Well friday is here and it's a cold crisp day. The week has been a busy one, and much more activity is in the near future. Very, very soon I will have photos of projects to post, for now just stay on the edge of your seat and remember to be ever moving forward!!

Log Jamz Location

  Good morning, last week on log jamz i talked about research. Today I will briefly hit on the subject of location, location, location in conjunction with the type of package or kit that may be used.
  As with everything that I write it is subject to your own personal interpretation of the information provided.
  When choosing a kit for your plot of land, one must consider the type of wood species utilized for the log package. Each area has it's own set of conditions that could affect the life of the home. Examples would be items like how much rain does the area receive, does the area have any known infestation problems. Lastly for now does the area have dramatic climate changes. These are just a few things to consider, more to follow........!

Let it rain

    Good morning, yesterday was so busy that I did not have time to send out my daily blog. I hope that all is well for everyone even with the rain falling.
  Today will be another very active day with progress being made on projects. With spring having just arrived busy has become an understatement so keep an eye out because activity is abound and it is time to be on the move!!

The zone

Good morning it is monday the first full day of spring. Even though it is raining you can feel the raw energy in the air. It is time to be back in the zone!!
