Timber Frame Tuesday: The story

Good morning, it is Timber Frame tuesday and as promised i would provide some information about the world of timber framing. Most people do not realize just how much, or how long timber framing has been in existance.
  From castles in Europe, to temples in Japan, to barns in New England timber framing has had an impact on the ways that modern man builds and survives!
  Over time I will provide an indepth look at timber framing, it's history, information about the craft,
and a general knowledge to aid those in search of the dream of having a timber frame. Until then keep a watchful eye out for there will be more to follow.

The arrival

Good morning,
   It is monday and the sun is shining and it is actual warm out. How cool is that!!!
 Well I am finally back to working on business. Getting calls related to log home work which has been awhile. The arrival is a great one and just one step closer to having a shop! Well a busy day is already in the works so it is time to say adios until tommorrow.

Kit Suppliers

Good morning and it is thursday which means it is time for my weekly addition to Log Jamz.
I so far have touched on the subjects of sub-contractors, research, and location. Today i briefly speak about kit suppliers.
  Kit suppliers can be in several forms, from small operations with several people up to large factories that produce volume.
  Either type can be suitable depending on the needs of the client. There are several really great ways to start the process of finding a package that is to your desire.
 First the trade magazines such as Log Home Living, Timber Homes. The internet which is where there are many companies doing their advertising. Another way to find great information are the trade shows that have representatives on hand to help you.

Loose ends

    It is wednesday already, time flies. All the loose ends are slowly but surely falling into place and in the next few weeks a timber project will begin. With that said since every thursday has been deemed Log Jamz thursday, I will be dedicating a day to detailed timber frame information.
  In association with my theme of the blog it will be know as Timber Frame tuesday. Information will be made available to bring about awareness of the industry and to hopefully educate everone about my personal passion!!

Dust or no dust

    It is tuesday morning, hope that the bright sunshine of yesterday helped everyone get energized.
 Today activity will continue and progress will be made. Later in the week there will start to be more information about upcoming projects and future plans, until then it is time to make some dust, because dust waits for no one!!

Good morning, Productive weekend. Well over the weekend business connections started to be brought back into the picture. Went to the Log and Timber show and met with Larry of Northwest Log Homes and several others that will be key players in the future and progress was definitely made.
      Well after several business calls it is now time to go make some more dust so until tommorrow i hope this beautiful spring day is a great one.
